As I watch in serenity
As history brings me to witness
The green meadows in the rain
In its lonely trail of lavender fields
In play, with the droplets of rain
The dance of nature, and rainbows
As the history turns in its fusion
The peacock moments, in stillness
As the light begins to escape
From clouds and prisoner’s cry
Here they are, in trance
The peacock moments
As lavender fields invite me
To ponder, in crevices of words
The old country of my existence
Through its pain and its despair,
Long due it has been, the old rain
The absent wishes, the old desires
One day the rain will find me and you
Back in those peacock moments
Where fury will turn us to understand
The old magic of freedom and songs
No matter where you are,
Hidden in these mist of rainbows
The moments will announce
For journey to begin, once again
As we witness the old lavender
In play, with droplets of rain
Hope cannot be lost or forgotten
Carry they will these droplets of rain
Change will arrive, peace will reside
The old effect, the peacock moments!
Kashkin
The phrase “Peacock moments” sounds interesting. I like the voice of peacock in the wilderness.
That’s a beautiful poem K, very imaginative.

Its colorful and oozes out the color green; the sign of life and optimism and of course the peacock

“Carry they will these droplets of rain
Change will arrive, peace will reside”
Your this poem has reminded me following verses of Iqbal…..
” Nikal kay sehra se jis ne Roma ki sultanat ko ult diya tha
Suna hae yeh qudsion se main ne woh sher phir hoshiyar ho ga ”
(Allama Iqbal)
