The Human Landscape

Gathered they have from al l quarters,
Today is the day we will find,
Our voices, our hearts in one place,
Today we will find solutions
To all our problems and issues
Hangs in there, in silence,
The old murmurs and whispers
Wrapped up in disguises
The old habits and behaviours

Will we achieve all?
What we have announced
Hear they will our concerns
Hear they will our suggestions
Let go those hands and anger
Hear I steps closer to those beats
“You are to be removed”
You don’t belong here,
Ask you all the wrong things
Ask you all the wrong questions
Fine words, but they don’t mean
Much to us, deaf we are to your pleas

One more try, let’s try it again
Our hearts and voices in one place
You will hear, words that carry
The great promise, to my muffled voice
Walk away, the old heart in its tune
Walk away, it’s not worth it,
Too much at stakes they have
The emptiness to worship,
Opinions to be corrupted,
Few ounces of light still remain
In wilderness, they have opted
To spend, the entire existence
Respect now gone, from their hearts
Only mind and its fury, the constant burns

The landscape altered, this human cost
And on this alter, all at stakes
The pride and passion, the egos and conscience
When will they change?
Hear they not, the steps from another dimension
In choking silence, they depart,
Hang in there in its wisdom, the old silence
The old murmurs and whispers
Wrapped up in disguises
The old habits and behaviours
Walk they with you as those steps roll
To find your voices and hearts in one place!
